Dr. Jessica Schmidt obtained her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of California, San Diego. She then received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2005 from the University of California, Davis. After completing her degree she finished a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at a private practice in Springfield, Massachusetts. Dr. Schmidt completed her residency training in Veterinary Neurology and Neurosurgery at the Animal Specialty Center in New York, and received board-certification in 2011. She joined the Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital team in May 2015.
Dr. Schmidt enjoys all facets of both medical and surgical neurology, including seizure management, and brain and spinal surgery.
