Veterinary Emergency Care Lowry has a staff of experienced, ER trained veterinarians, technicians and support staff who provide medical care to patients in need of immediate medical treatment when their primary veterinarian is unavailable.
Emergency patients will be referred back to their primary veterinarian for follow-up care upon the completion of treatment at Veterinary Emergency Care Lowry. We honor the special bond between you and your veterinarian and we are committed to making your experience one of personal service in a caring and nurturing environment.
No Referral or Appointment Needed for Emergency Care
Our Hospital is open 7 days a week, 6:00am – 4:00pm, for Emergency Patients. When possible, please call Veterinary Emergency Care Lowry to alert staff members that you are bringing your pet in to the facility. Advance notice will assist us in preparing for the arrival of your pet.

Alexis Gale, VMD
EMERGENCY VETERINARIAN
Dr. Alexis (Lexi) Gale began her education at Cornell University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. Following this, she took a year off from school to do research and work as an assistant to a small animal surgeon. She then attended the University of Pennsylvania for veterinary school. She moved to Colorado after graduation to complete a small animal rotating internship in medicine and surgery at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital. She then practiced for a year as a Small Animal Emergency Veterinarian before joining the team in the same position at the Lowry satellite location. Her professional interests include cardiology, critical care, and surgery. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, snowboarding, yoga, weight-lifting, and relaxing with her dog, Kai, and fiancé, Jake.
Aubrey Specht, DVM
EMERGENCY VETERINARIAN
Dr. Aubrey Specht completed veterinary school at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. She went on to complete a small animal rotating internship at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital where she was fortunate to learn from experts in all specialties of veterinary medicine. She now joins the Veterinary Emergency Center at Lowry and has a special interest in diagnostic imaging.
