Wheatridge is the best animal hospital. I always know my dog, Brecken, is in good hands. We've seen many different doctors throughout the year, but Dr. Jensen is the best! She listens to our concerns and has a plan of action. I can tell she truly cares and values my pet. No one wants to be at the ER and Dr. Jensen helped me feel at ease, leaving my dog with Wheatridge in her care. It goes a long way with feeling supported and cared for in the ER. I never feel like 'just another patient' but rather very cared for. 10/10 recommend for your pets care.

So happy to have been referred to the Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital with my black lab! He is allergic and was in need of care. Dr. Dell has prescribed a medicine that controls his allergies and keeps him from scratching, etc..

I called and I was freaking out about my puppy and she made me feel better and they also told me about a type of card I can have that will help me if I can't pay for my vet bills right then and there. The card has a payment plan. The woman told me about this and also made me feel better about my puppy because she was being a little wobbly. I was really worried. Her name is Amia. She really helped me and made me feel better. Thank you.

I feel like my cat (Jack) is in really good hands at WRAH. I feel like the vet was super thorough with me, it was clear she had done some preliminary research before our appointment. I felt like nothing was pushed that didn't absolutely need to be done - as far as if Jack was already starting to become aggressive, not taking a temperature reading that day. Really appreciated both doctors we spoke with in the appointment. Very professional and competent. I also thought our technician was amazing and she didn't push any boundaries/try to restrain Jack and I really appreciated that. Thoroughness in the appointment, not feeling like the vet made any presumptions as to the level of care I'm prepared to offer my pet, running through all the options with me and communicating every avenue and why or why not we may go down which road. FYI !! you do NOT need a referral to see a specialist for your pet. I had no idea this was even an option for my cat and I wish I knew sooner.

I took my 13yr old pup to Wheat Ridge ER after she’d gotten bit in the lip by a baby rattlesnake. I was really afraid I was going to lose her. The staff at WR were very kind and comforting. My girl was well taken care of and is back home. Thank you, Wheat Ridge staff!

Wheat ridge has been amazing every step of the way. We had an incredibly unexpected turn of events with my beloved pup, which ended us with us being transferred here from our local vet. Everyone was so kind, patient, and transparent with what we should expect, our options and how much it would likely cost. Dr. McKibben in the ED took the time to walk us through our options, sat on the floor with us and our pup while we were distressed trying to make the right decision. Mr. Meola was so wonderful and her critical care team took such amazing care of my pup in the ICU. They kept me updated and answered all my questions. My pup got to go home at the end of the day and her and her team were took amazing care, even over a holiday weekend. I thank them so much for making a horrible situation as tolerable as possible and showing such kindness.

Even pondered a different medical concern our dog has while he was attending to the reason for the emergency visit. The availability of emergency care 24/7 and the kindness of the staff. I had an emergency visit for my dog who couldn't walk. The overall care was outstanding. Everyone from the desk to the doctors were caring and informative. They are not profit-driven like some other animal hospitals. Dr. Scott at Wheat Ridge took the time to educate me on my dogs torn tendons and the best treatment for him as well as his aftercare. He drew my dog's issue out for me so that I could understand visually what had happened to my dog. Our new vet recommended Wheat Ridge, and I wish I had found them sooner!! I highly recommend taking your pet to this animal hospital. Dr.Scott was just wonderful. The best veterinarian I have encountered. I truly appreciate him. Dr. Scott was caring and informative, and all of the staff was attentive.
