Dr. Sfiligoi spent 45 minutes with us, explained things in a way that we understood without talking down to us, and followed up with lab tests the next day. She reassured us in any way she could without sugar coating anything.
Everyone is professional but also compassionate - typically you are not at an animal hospital because something good has happened - yet everyone I have dealt with have made me feel like they are in it with me.
The vet was really good and thorough in explaining things
The vet who came to speak to us about what was going on with Mocoso was very kind. It was an incredibly busy day and she waited patiently through all our questions and seemed very knowledgeable and confident in treatments.
Very knowledgeable staff. Wish I would have brought my dog here first instead of going to urgent care.
Dr. Dell is awesome. Great care. Support staff friendly and competent
We suspected our dog Rip was having seizures so we met with Dr. Djani-he was excellent and we left feeling better educated and at ease with what our dog was experiencing. he was patient, kind, took the time to review and explain the exam thoroughly, and helped us fell at ease with the diagnosis. There are simply not enough words to express our gratitude to the incredible team at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital. We traveled from Grand Junction, Colorado, after our local veterinarians recognized that our 13-year-old dog, Yazi, needed specialty care. What followed was one of the most emotional and uncertain experiences, and every single person at Wheat Ridge treated both Yazi and our family with extraordinary compassion, patience, and professionalism. When we arrived, surgery to remove her gallbladder seemed like the likely next step. Instead of rushing into a major procedure, the specialists carefully reviewed her imaging, repeated bloodwork, monitored her closely, and continued asking questions until they were confident they understood what was truly happening. Ultimately, they determined that Yazi's condition was most consistent with a severe bleeding gastric ulcer rather than a gallbladder requiring emergency removal. Their willingness to reassess, collaborate, and change course based on new information may very well have spared our sweet girl from an unnecessary surgery. That kind of thoughtful, evidence-based medicine gave us tremendous confidence that every recommendation was being made with Yazi's best interests at heart. Throughout her hospitalization, the communication was exceptional. We received regular updates, our questions were always answered with kindness, and we never felt rushed. The doctors and technicians understood that Yazi wasn't just a patient—she is a beloved member of our family. They celebrated every small victory with us, from her first interest in food to stable lab results and the day she was well enough to come home. As a family traveling several hours from Western Colorado, we were overwhelmed by the level of care and compassion we received. The drive was absolutely worth it. Knowing that Yazi was surrounded by a team that combined advanced medical expertise with genuine empathy gave us peace during an incredibly difficult time. Today, Yazi is home, taking her medications, eating, drinking, and continuing her recovery. We know we still have healing ahead, but we are deeply thankful for the specialists at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital who looked beyond the obvious, trusted the evidence, and treated our little girl with such skill and kindness. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for giving Yazi—and our family—hope when we needed it most. We will never forget the care you provided and would recommend Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital without hesitation to anyone seeking exceptional specialty veterinary care.
