My French bulldog puppy had to have BOAS surgery. Mak just could not breathe well enough to sleep. We knew as he grew bigger the problem would get worse. After a consultation with Dr. Prink, the surgeon who would do this surgery, we decided to go ahead with it. It is not an easy surgery for the dog or the humans who love and care for them. Mak did pretty good, only a few hiccups that were taken care of. The recuperation time is three weeks. Slowly but surely with three visits back to the hospital for rechecks, Mak is completely healed. He can sleep much easier and quieter. This means, we can sleep also since he sleeps with us. In my opinion Mak will have a much happier, healthier life now that this surgery was done. Dr. Prink and his staff did a wonderful job at explaining everything, following up with us and rechecking Mak as he was healing. I have great faith in Dr. Prink. I would recommend him to other pet owners who have French Bulldogs or English Bulldogs. This surgery is a game changer for the dogs.

I was referred to Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital, and Dr. Swift in particular, to begin the very scary and overwhelming process of MRI/CT, and possible radiation treatment for my girl Quiglee, when it was discovered she had a brain tumor. Dr. Swift was so kind, I felt she really listened to my questions and concerns. She made me feel that we were in good hands during a very difficult time.

Our lab has severe epilepsy and the entire team from the ER to neuro has taken excellent care of him, especially Dr. Carbone and Dr. Djani. Also, due to the severity of his health, the costs are considerable and the staff has been so helpful in our effort to care for our dog while keeping costs reasonable.

I can’t recommend them enough. We had to transfer care here today for my kitty to get radiation and the team sent her home with treats (the only ones she would eat) and this bandana with the sweetest notes on it. They go above and beyond and I feel so good about my kitty being there.

We have always been treated well when we go. Everyone helps us to take care of our pets and figure out what is going on with them. I most appreciate the kind and caring staff. Highly recommend

Throughout my entire process with Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital I was met with evidence based practice and procedures. My dog needed to have several procedures done to fix damage to her salivary gland, and while the process was frustrating and I had a lot of questions, the surgery team continued to push forward and provide research to me to explain their approach. At some vet offices I’ve been to, I raise an eyebrow at their approach that seems to take advantage of my wallet while not offering much research backing the approach. WRAH team worked with me to find the best approach while also not charging me more just because they could and I really appreciated how many emails they answered, phone calls they took to explain things to me, and patience in treating my dog who is a little vet shy.

The staff at Wheat Ridge Anima Hospital are extremely empathetic and caring, provide clear information, and create a trusting relationship with owners and pets. Dr Swift and her team are exceptional. I feel they've gotten to know my pet and really care about him, not just it's because it's their job. They also will not do procedures if it is not warranted based on the needs of your pet - I so appreciate that!

The absolute best clinic we could of stumbled upon. We've had 5 dogs with this clinic between neurology, cardiology, and internal medicine, and the experience has been great every single time. We left feeling supported in our animals care moving forward, and a clear plan of where to go. Dr. Bridges & Dr. Djani were the only neurologists that actually saw our dog's minor issues as real, and finally gave us a diagnosis after many years and MANY different vet clinics. We never have to worry when we drop the dogs off, the techs all seem wonderful and knowledgeable, and our dogs have done great under anesthesia. We are forever thankful for so many great teams here, and it's well worth the 2 hour drive for this clinic compared to others we tried.

All of the staff from the time you walk in until you leave our compassionate and professional and I promise your pet will get the best of care imaginable.

We live on the other side of town and are always willing to drive across town to Wheatridge Animal Hospital for veterinary specialist care for our cats and dogs. The vets are knowledgeable and experienced, and all of the staff are kind and supportive. Everyone is lovely! I was running late due to traffic and the internal medicine team graciously squeezed in the vet tech appointment. Thank you very much!! 🙏🏻
